Music archive

Here you'll find various drumscores and tunes composed for the Great Highland Bagpipe composed by current and former members of the band. All piping-notes are in BMW-format (Bagpipe Music Writer), so to be able to see and hear them you'll need to install Bagpipe Music Writer on your pc. You can get it here. All drumscores are in pdf-format, and requires Acrobat Reader installed. This program is available for free.

The music archive is not just intended for members of the band. Everyone is more than welcome to contribute. If you yourself wish to contribute with a tune or drumscore of your own, do the following:

• Tunes for the Great Highland Bagpipe: Send an email to Iain Currie.

• Drumscores: Send an email to the webmaster.

• Make sure that the email contains a readable version of your tune or drumscore, the name of the composer and the compositiondate.

There are two ways of finding tunes & drumscores in the archive:

• Choose either "bagpipe" or "Drumscore", or both, choose a tune-type from the list, and click "show"

• Type part of the name of the tune you are looking for and click "Search". You can also perform a serach on time-signatures, e.g. 2/4 & 6/8
